Taking one's food from the hotel breakfast to the hotel room

Q: Please clarify the following: 

We have booked and paid for a hotel breakfast. Is it permissible to take food items to my room that I am unable to eat in the breakfast room but will eat a little later.

A: Yes, it is permissible.
