Are there more than 99 names of Allah Ta'ala?

Q: Are there only 99 names of Allah? 

Qari Ayoub Essack has more than 99 names in his Asma ul Husna.

A: The muhadditheen (commentators of Hadith) explain that Allah Ta'ala's names are not confined to 99, but are more than 99. However, in the famous Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) which speaks of the names of Allah Ta'ala, 99 names of Allah Ta'ala have been mentioned.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
