Time of Sunnah I’tikaaf

Q: When is Sunnah I’tikaaf performed?

A: Sunnah I’tikaaf is performed during the last ten days of Ramadhaan. The Sunnah I’tikaaf commences at the time of Maghrib of the 20th of Ramadhaan (i.e. 21st night) and continues until the moon of Eidul Fitr is sighted.
