Q: A person passed away. He had two sons who were to inherit from him. One son wishes to renounce his share and give it to his brother. How does he go about this in Islamic Law?
A: The estate should be wound and distributed. The heir who does not want his share should accept his share or get someone (besides the other heirs) to accept it on his behalf and thereafter he may give it to whomsoever he wishes.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
