Q: In Fazail e Amaal, Fazail e Quraan I have read a riwaayat that the reciter of Surah Hadeed, Surah Waqiya and Surah Rahman will be named among the people living in Jannatul Firdaus.
If this is true does one have to recite these surahs everyday?
A: Yes, this is the virtue for the one who recites these three surahs daily.
This virtue is mentioned in the following Hadith:
Hazrat Faatimah (rahiyallahu 'anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Whoever recites Surah Hadeed, Surah Waaqi'ah and Surah Rahmaan (daily) will be declared to be among the residents of Jannatul-Firdaus."
This Hadith appears in Shuabul Imaan of Imaam Baihaqi (rahimahullah). Similarly, Allaamah Suyuti (rahimahullah) mentioned it in Al-Jaamius Sagheer and Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahimahullah) mentioned it in his Fazaail Aamaal.
Though this Hadith is reported with a very weak chain, since the Hadith is not Mowdhu' (a fabricated narration) and the subject matter of the Hadith relates to Fadhaail Aamaal (virtues deeds) and it does not relate to Ahkaam (Islamic laws and rulings pertaining to Halaal and Haraam), it is acceptable.
However, it should be understood that these types of virtues will be obtained on condition that one's imaan is intact and one refrains from major sins which become an impediment for receiving these virtues.
