Speaking to one's fiancée

Q: Can I talk to my fiancée on the phone so that we can know each other?

A: Before nikaah, all premarital contact is not permissible. Hence, speaking to the girl one is proposed to is not permissible and regarded as a sin. 

This type of premarital contact then leads to the boy and girl getting involved in further sins and haraam. 

Only through performing nikaah, will the boy and girl become halaal for each other.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
