Q: Please explain in detail why is it not allowed to hunt using a gun.
A: The Hadith permits shooting a wild animal with a bow and arrow. Our ulama explain that the effect of the bullet is different to an arrow.
In the case of shooting with an arrow, the animal dies due to the arrow piecing the animal thereby causing it to bleed through a wound. This effect is not found in the case of a bullet.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
