Q: Is it sunnah for a lady to perform 2 rakaats in Masjid Quba on Saturday or is it sunnah only for men?
A: The Hadith mentions that through performing nafl salaah at anytime in Musjid e Quba, one will receive the reward of umrah.
Therefore if one performs nafl salaah on Saturday or on any other day, one will receive the reward of umrah.
However, since Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam would go to Musjid e Quba after fajr on Saturdays and he would perform his ishraaq salaah there, it is sunnah for men to go to Musjid e Quba on Saturday and perform ishraaq salaah there.
It is not sunnah for women to go to Musjid e Quba on Saturday to perform their ishraaq salaah there.
If the women remain in their homes (or hotel rooms) and after performing their fajr salaah, they remain seated on their places of salaah engaged in zikr, and when the time of ishraaq enters, they perform their ishraaq salaah on their musallas, they will also receive the same reward of umrah as men will receive through performing salaah in Musjid e Quba.
Nevertheless, if a woman performs two rakaats in Musjid e Quba on Saturday or on any other day, she will also receive the reward of umrah.
