The sunnah of applying surmah

Q: Does applying surma in the day time count as applying make up because the sunnah is specific to applying at night or would it be sunnah to wear surma nonetheless applying at night and day?

A: Applying surmah is sunnah whether one applies it in the day or night. Hence, this is not considered similar to applying make up.
