Q: It is mentioned in the Quran in Surah An-Nisaa: 93 that whoever killed a momin he/she will be in Jahannam forever. But then there is Hadith that every Muslim will go to Jannah even if they have smallest Imaan in their heart. Please explain.
A: According to some mufassireen, this aayat refers to the case where one regarded killing a believer to be permissible. Hence, through killing him one will come out of the fold of Islam and remain in jahannam forever (unless one renews his imaan and makes tawbah for the wrong before he passes away).
