Preventing a musalli from doing business outside the masjid

Q: A musallee sells fruit and veg from his car in the masjid parking lot after jumuah.

1. Is this permissible? 

2 Does the masjid committee have the right to prevent him from this?

A: The musjid as well as the area around the musjid should not be made a place where business is conducted. This will ultimately lead to the inconvenience of the musallies and compromise the sanctity of the musjid. 

Yes, they should prevent him from selling his merchandise there.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
