Makrooh time to perform Asr Salaah

Q: When does the forbidden time for asr start? Is it when the sun starts to become a distinguishable shade of orange, when the rays fade completely, or automatically 30 minutes before asr starts? 

What if the eyes still slightly sting when looking at the sun? Does this mean that there’s still time for asr? 

A: When the colour of the sun begins to change before sunset. 

Note: It is not permissible for one to delay performing the Asr salaah until the time when the sun begins to turns yellow and its rays begin to change colour.
