Accusing a family member of doing jadoo (black magic) without evidence

Q: A family was going through difficulty and they got in touch with a Moulana who does amaliyaat to check if it's jadoo (black magic). The Moulana aamil blamed Rashid in the family of doing jadoo.

After hearing this, the family accused Rashid of doing jadoo on the family. They are mentally torturing him, because of this Rashid has gone into depression. Rashid denied the allegations but because the Moulana aamil has blamed him, they are not willing to listen to him or believe him. The family is also gossiping to others about Rashid doing jadoo.

What is the Islamic ruling regarding the three people;

1. The Moulana aamil who did istikhara or checked via Jinn then blaming Rashid of jadoo,
2. The family accusing Rashid of jadoo and
3. Rashid who is being wrongly accused of doing jadoo?

A: Without valid evidence, making accusations is a major haraam. They must make taubah and beg Rashid's forgiveness until he becomes happy with their apology and behaviour. Otherwise, if you do not do this then on account of this major haraam, the problem can be aggravated.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
