Disposing of something with the name of Allah Ta'ala

Q:

1. Is it permissible to dispose of something with the name of Allah Ta'ala written inside of it, if the writing is covered?

For example, a copy has random pages where the name of Allah Ta'ala is written, but these writings are covered by other pages and covers of the copy.

2. If not, then is one required to check every copy and mark over them so it cannot be seen?

3. What other writings does one have to cut off (or just cover) before disposing?

A:

1 & 2. The name of Allah Ta'ala has to be honoured and respected at all times. Hence, it is not permissible to dispose of a paper wherein the name of Allah Ta'ala is written on it (even if it is covered with another page). You should cut off that portion wherein the name of Allah Ta'ala is written and thereafter dispose of the papers.

3. The same law applies to the name of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), the Ambiyaa (alaihimus salaam), the Sahaabah (rahiyallahu anhum), the verses of the Quraan Majeed and the Mubaarak Ahaadith.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
