Giving zakaat to Muslim children whose parents are not Muslim

Q: What is the ruling for zakaat given to minors whose parents are not Muslims. Can they be given zakaat food hampers?

A: If the children are poor Muslims and their non Muslim parents are also poor, then zakaat can be given to their Muslim children.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
