Q: Is it permissible for the masjid to have an Islamic shop in the wudhu area of the masjid for the the benefit of the masjid and having a multi purpose hall for nikah and walima for the benefit of the masjid?
A: The best is to keep the musjid free of all worldly activities. The precincts of the musjid should be such that it encourages people to Allah, the aakhirat and towards their obligations.
It should all be in a different area.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
