Q: I committed zina with a prostitute two days ago. After that I can't sleep peacefully because I've done a major sin of Islam. I even thought about suicide because I am a zani now. Is my name a zaani forever in Islam? I don't know what's happening to me. How can I face my future wife? Please help me.
A: Perform two rakaats of tawbah salaah and sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala for committing this major sin.
Cry before Allah Ta‘ala and beg him to forgive you. If you are true and sincere, then Allah Ta‘ala will definitely forgive you.
Don't go close to places of sin and refrain from all company and all devices that can tempt you towards falling into the same sin again.
Ensure that you remain in pious company at all times and do not delay in performing nikaah.
After nikaah, do not mention this to your spouse as it is not permissible for one to expose his sins before people. Apart from this, mentioning this to your spouse will lead to problems coming about in your nikaah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
