Q: I would just like to know what's the ruling regarding a perfume having an alcohol scent in the notes.
I want to purchase the Kayali Chocolate Oud and it says there is a rum scent as one of the notes. I see a few of their perfumes have alcohol scents as well. From my understanding they do not use the actual alcohol for the scent.

A: If the alcohol content is not made from grapes or dates, and besides this there is nothing impure in it, then to use it will be permissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
