Q: If I deliberately imagine about rebirth and a Hindu family for entertainment, would it be kufr?
I watch tv serial and then imagine about the characters of the serial and they are Hindu. I know it's a major sin but is it equal to doing kufr? It is not unwanted thought, I imagine it intentionally.
A: Definitely this is not permissible. It can border on kufr. How can you ever think and imagine about yourself being born in a Hindu home and Hindu family where you will live like a Hindu among them worshiping idols, eating pork and drinking wine. This is definitely not showing the respect you ought to show to Islam.
