Q: I don't remember from where I have read something about how Allah Ta'alas greatness grows continuously. Can you please grant me clarity about the aqeedah about this belief?
A: This belief is not correct and amounts to kufr. Allah Ta'ala is perfect in His being and in all His attributes.
For one to say that Allah Ta'ala grows all the time in His greatness actually means that Allah Ta'ala is not perfect.
Growing from one stage to another is in actual fact the quality of man and not the quality of Allah Ta‘ala.
Hence, this is proving weakness for Allah Ta'ala as it means that prior to Allah Ta'ala growing in greatness, He was weak in the past and now He has become stronger and accordingly if He grows more stronger in the future, then He was weak prior to Him reaching this condition.
Hence, this is proving weakness for Allah Ta'ala and showing that he is not perfect, neither in the past and nor in the future.
May Allah Ta'ala save us from attributing such false things to the being of Allah Ta'ala or to His attributes.
