Taking back one's capital amount from a haraam investment

Q: Once I bought a prize bond, but when I realized it's not permissible, I sold it back. 

Is the money from selling it back that was originally mine will also be considered as haraam or halaal? 

Simply I just refunded back my investment upon knowing that the prize of the bond is haraam?

A: You can take back your capital amount.
