Q: Is it permissible to play monopoly with ones family as long as it does not become a barrier from one fulfilling the fardh ibadah?
A: These types of games are not for adults. The hadeeth discourages us from lahw and la`ib (activities that have absolutely no benefit and good).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
