Reciting other duas in the Qunoot of witr

Q: In Mabsoot and Sharhu Mukhtasarul Kharkhy, it comes that qunoot of witr is not a specified dua but it should be as long as Surah Taariq. One Aalim says that if you are in a rush, you can just read rabbana aatina dua, so is this correct? Is it being as long as Suraah Taariq waajib?

A: What they mean by not specified, in other words, is that it is not compulsory though it is preferable. When there is so much of ta`aamul on the original dua then it will not be appropriate to move away from such a practice.
