Q: What falls under attractive colours for women's clothing, with examples?
Is any colour fine as long as they're dark? Example, darker shades of maroon, sage green, etc.
A: Women should wear clothing that is neither tight fitting nor reveals the figure and shape of the body. Rather, it should be loose long flowing clothing which covers and conceals her entire body. Similarly, a woman should avoid clothing that resembles the fashion and style of the disbelievers and in which there is extravagance and ostentation.
It is permissible for women to wear colourful clothing in the home, on condition that there is no resemblance with any kuffaar cult or kuffaar culture and fashion.
