One heir independently dealing in the inheritance without consulting other heirs

Q: A person passed away, and his wife is alive and decides to sell the family property. She has 3 daughters and 1 son. How is the money from the sale distributed. Does it belong to the mother?

A: If the property belongs to all the (baaligh) heirs, then the mother should not independently deal in the property without first consulting with the heirs.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
