How to become the friend of Allah Ta'ala

Q:  How do I become a friend of Allah? Is there any amal or dua to recite? 

A: Ensure that you perform all your five daily salaah in the Musjid with jamaat and refrain from all avenues of sin. Observe strict pardah with all non-mahram women and try to bring every sunnat of Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) in your life. Remain in pious company at all times and refrain from wrong company. Whatever action you are not clear of, then refer to the Ulama and find out the Islamic ruling before carrying out the action.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
