Q: When performing Fardh Salaah behind the Imaam, I make niyah in my heart without saying it verbally that for example I am performing 2 rakaats Fard of Fajr behind the Imaam without making niyah of facing Qiblah. Is my salaah valid and correct?
A: Yes, your salaah is valid. Making a verbal niyyat is not compulsory.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
