Nafil Salaah after the time of fajr sets in

Q: 

  1. Will it be permissible to read Nafl salaah after the time of Fajr has come in before performing the Fajr Salaah?
  2. If it is permissible, can we perform Nafl Salaah after the Sunnah of Fajr while waiting for the Fardh?

A: 

1. It is makrooh-e-tahrimi to read nafil Salaah after the time of fajr sets in.

2. No.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

( وكذا ) الحكم من كراهة نفل وواجب لغيره لا فرض وواجب لعينه ( بعد طلوع فجر سوى سنته ) لشغل الوقت به تقديرا حتى لو نوى تطوعا كان سنة الفجر بلا تعيين (الدر المختار 1/375)
