Discussing aspects of Islam with non-Muslims

Q: I was recently asked by a Christian if the Qur'an was created or did it always exist. I was unsure how to answer this question. Is there a difference of opinion regarding this question?

A: When he has not accepted Islam, it is pointless discussing these issues with him.
