Q: I would like to know that since my husband uttered once and after that event we were together at least two times under the same roof, then we had an argument and we have been apart for 3 months. Does us being together after that talaaq incident void that talaaq or the husband has to say clearly to void the talaaq? Or since we had another argument after the talaaq and after being together twice after that, does the iddat apply and is another nikaah necessary?
A: If after issuing the talaaq, your husband revoked the talaaq within the iddat period whether verbally or by action (e.g. he kissed you or had relations), you will remain in his nikaah. However if he did not revoke the talaaq and the iddat period terminates, then a new nikaah will have to be performed with a separate mahr.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
