Q: Mufti it's been many years my dad has been asking his elder brothers for his haq from my grandfather. Since 1956 he has been trying. My dad is late now seven years but like a year before he passed away he asked me to pursue this long overdue matter. Mum is alive still and 86 years old. Not too well. Am I doing the right thing to be asking for my dads haq or is it wrong for me to ask for our haq. Please help me because many have told me it's the right thing to do and many have said for me to let the people who are still eating of our haq carry on because they will pay for it in the year after. What is the verdict on this matter. Please help me.
Q: My question is regarding the garment lengths (kurtha in specific). It's not a question of right or wrong because I am fully aware that anything below the ankles is impermissible. However, the longer kurtha's that are in stores such as Daffa and Aseel (these kurtha's are popular and peoples 1st choice in common), its hard to get the perfect size. I am not sure if its just me or everyone, but if you get a perfect length above your ankles, then the shoulders become tight and the sleeves are too short. The reason I buy aseel or daffa is a matter of preference style without showing off and boasting, just like how someone else in Pakistan would prefer the shawaal khamees or the short length kurtha's. So in my case mufti saab, what can I do and I know alternatives but then again going back to matter of preference and choice. When i'm standing yes I admit, I became aware that the Kurta length just about touched the floor, so I have another which is 2 sizes smaller which just about touches my shoe. To get it hemmed will take time (which I don't mind), but until I find a solution, must I not wear these kurtha's? Because my serious intention moving forward is to identify these finer details which seem small to they eye but the impact I know can be damaging to my Deen or any bodies who disregards such issues and labels them as small issues. Due to my laziness, I left this for too long.
Q: I need to open a current account at a conventional bank. This particular type of current account comes with a R2000 funeral cover. Whilst this R2000 will be ignored by my family when I die, can I still open this type of account?
Q: My baby cries non stop at maghrib time but he is fine all day. I play Azaan, recite the four kuls and ayatul kursi which quiets him down a bit. He is two months old.
Q: I am 25 years old. I have made zina more than one time with my auntie (Mehram). I also drank her milk during intercourse. Later on we both stoped this sin and asked Allah for forgiveness for such a great sin. We have completely left this relationship. Now some family members are asking me to marry her daughter. I have a question. Is her daughter halal for me? Her mother and myself have left this shameful act and we are very embarrassed about the sin which we have done in past. Please guide me as soon as possible. I am very upset and there is some reason due to which there is pressure on me to marry her daughter.
Q: Is there any Masnoon (or any other good) Du'a we can recite for a Muslim who is suffering in prison? Especially for those who are specifically suffering in the prisons of countries like the USA etc.
Q: In my local Musjid sometimes after magrib salaah they do mehfil zikr for about 5-10 minutes. They would start off by turning off the lights and we would sit on the floor and have a main person who guides us through the zikr. Throughout the zikr I heard things or words that I have never heard of such as 'Haqhu' and 'Jalashanoo' they would say it in quite an aggressive way which gave me doubts regarding the zikr that had been taking place. My question is:
1. Is this whole gathering permissible?
2. The words used in the aggressive manner 'Haqhu and Jalashanoo' , can they be used?
3. What is Imam Abu Hanifas opinion regarding mehfil zikr?
Q: I asked this question before as well but I was confused. If my husband drinks alcohol and immediately after that becomes intimate, do I become impure due to his saliva as it's very hectic taking bath again and again. Also during menses if a female does istinja and after istinja the water falls on the feet, is it impure?
