Q: My baby has been having seizures since birth. He has brain damage and other complications. Doctors are perplexed by his problems. His brain mri shows damage but not that much. Still his seizures are persisting despite taking 4 medications twice a day. Medical science is not able to say with certitude what is making him having these seizures (infantile spasms). My baby is 16 months, doesn’t move, doesn’t talk, doesn’t swallow properly, no neck control. I am so so down. I cry with Allah everyday for my child.

Q: I read in Behishti Zewar that one can pray janaazah while standing on top of his shoes if the shoes are clean (paak). Do the soles of the shoe have to be paak too, or only the top part of the shoe has to be paak?

Q: I offered janaazah prayer behind an imam, but before the prayer, I did not know whether the janaazah was for a man, woman or child. During the prayer, I recited the dua that is recited for a man. After the prayer, I asked who the dead is, and it was a man. Will my janaazah prayer be valid?

Q: Can someone who is sick and needs money for surgery take interest money credited in his account by the bank for such purposes?

Q: I am facing some problem. When I go to urinate or defecate, some part of semen in thick form comes out due to constipation.

1. Will this break my ghusl?

2. Is washing it with water enough?

Q: If someone is on a life support machine and his family has to turn it off, if ever they are in that position, is it Islamic to do so?

Q: As we know, one cannot shave the one part of the head and leave another because that is qaza which isn’t allowed (and since trimming and shaving aren’t the same thing because we know on the occasion of umrah Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) made a special dua for those who shave their hair and for those who trim it meaning there is a clear distinction).

My question is, what if you trim the sides and not shave, therefore it is not qaza? So if I trim it to about 3+ inches which isn’t short enough to copy or fall under qaza, and I cut with a scissor on top, is this permissible?
