Calculating zakaat

Q: I need to know how much to give for zakaat.

Q: I will be leaving my employer and would like to know how to calculate the zakaat on my pension fund withdrawal. I have worked at the current place for 4-5 years. Should I calculte zakaat on the value as it is on my last day or do I need to go back, work out the values on each year and then calculate zakaat on each year?

Q: One of my friends rents out 3 houses, shall he pay zakaat on the rent amount he is getting or on the cost of the house?

Q: If my zakaat was due last week and I did not discharge it. When discharging it now, will my net worth be considered as it was last week or what my net worth is today?

Q: If someone doesn't have that much gold and silver on which one has to pay the zakat but does have the amount in the bank which is more than the equivalent amount of silver and that is in running process means it increases or decreases every month but didn't got below the equivalent amount of silver on which one is liable to pay the zakaat, then what is the shariah rule on this situation?

Q: Myself and my husband had taken a home loan of 12 Lakhs (Joint loan, interest based) in 2006. We got rid of the loan in 2010. To calculate my Zakat for these years, should I deduct my assets from 12 lakhs or 6 lakhs? For 3 years I was paying whole of the installment, 4th year onwards both of us paid half and half.

Q: If I have credit card bills, do I deduct it from Zakaah or not?

Q: I want to know how do I work out the zakaat nisaab?

Q: When giving used furniture or a used car as zakat, what value must be calculated for these items?

Q: I received a gift which I havent used since, meaning it is brand new. I wish to give it in kind as my zakaat. The original price of the item was R300. Do I consider it as R300 whilst distributing it as zakaat? Or does the value drop? I received it almost a year ago.
