Q: I've heard that premarital relationships are haraam, but I'm not sure to what extent am I supposed to keep my distance from this girl I am in love with. My friend keeps telling me to express my feelings to her, but as far as I've learned, I'm supposed to go to the girl's father to ask for her hand in marriage. I don't want to involve our families and make it hard for her to reject me, so I was wondering if it would be halaal to just tell her that I like her and wish to marry her? And then we would go to her father if she accepts my proposal.

Q: Is it permissible to give thank you cards and wedding cards to invite people to a wedding in islam?

Q: What is the ruling regarding engagements, ring ceremonies in Islam? Is it permissible to conduct nikah in lawns?

Q: Nowadays, majority of husbands have a single wife with the exception of some. In this situation, how can a woman be asked to tolerate her husband's second marriage. Isn't it a responsibility of the husband to inform her prior to the marriage of him entering into another marriage so that she can choose to marry him or not?

Q: If a man wants to marry another woman can he marry without permission from the first wife? If she doesn't give permission and he marries the other woman anyway is it a sin?

Q: Why do certain Ulama discourage from holding wedding functions or any other function in a hall? I don't see any problem in using the hall as a venue to host one's functions. Could you please explain to me the correct Islamic perspective in this issue?

1. Which invitation is best in Islam for wedding- oral or written?

2. Is there a hadith that nikaah should be done after asr prayer?

3. Is it allowed in Islam to have separate function called Henna (mehndi) on previous day of nikaah for girls?

4. Can a wealthy man spend more on walima which will be done subsequent to the day of nikaah?

5. Is it permissible in Islam for a man and woman to suck or lick private parts of each other after nikaah?

Q: Can someone have a gap of a year or so between their nikaah and their rukhsati?

Q: A Muslim man leading a happy married life, but out of sympathy want to marry another widow woman, and give her a life, but he is doesnt want his first wife to know immediately about his decision of taking up another wife, but later on after an year he would slowly let know his first wife know about the second marriage, so is this cheating? Will his first wife curse the second wife? Should this widow marry this man? Is she becoming a reason of pain for his first wife?

Q: I want to ask you what is the procedure of Nikaah in the Masjid. I mean groom and bride should be available in Masjid or only groom? What does Shari'ah say about Nikaah in the Musjid?
