Going to universities and colleges

Q: I really feel that my iman getting harmed when I be with my friends but it's not possible to avoid them studying in the same class. Is it ok to hurt them in this case?

Q: I read your answer about women studying in universities. You say its not good? Why? Islam never stopped womens rights. Me and my friends study in university in abaya. We never talk to boys unless its necessary. But you are saying it is bad, it is haram. So that means women should not go to universities? I know many people who bound their women in houses and don't allow them to go for education. I am very sad after reading it. That means women don't have right to go and study if she likes to study and men can do anything? Why? Men can marry the girls too who are not Muslims?

Q: Do you'll have any article/detailed fatwa explaining the impermissibility of women attending university to become doctors, with the reason that 'we need Muslim female doctors'. Many have this understanding. Even some ulama. How should one reply to them?

Q: Is it permissible for Muslim women to receive secular education and study in universities so that they can earn a degree? Some people argue that it is necessary for a woman to hold a degree so that if she is divorced or widowed, she will be able to earn a living and see to her dependants. Furthermore, there is a need for Muslim female professionals e.g. doctors. If our Muslim sisters do not become doctors, Muslim women will be forced to go to male doctors.

Q: I go to a public school and I am a girl. Their are male teachers and males at my school but I try to avoid most conversations with other male students. Is it ok to go there? Also I dress modestly nothing revealing. I can't go to an all girls school as its far from where I live.

Q: I want to know is it permissible to talk to non-mahrams? Like if someone is studying in a co-education and having boy fellows and male teachers so then is it allowed to talk to them? I have heard that a girl is not allowed to talk to non-mahrams but if in case of helping and if a non-mahram shares his problems with you without having any bad intention so is it allowed? Can girls and boys be friends?

Q: I really need to get admission in university and I really study hard for it. Can you tell me any wazifa or dua for my success?

Q: I am going to university, boys and girls both are coming there. Actually I am wearing burqa and I want to cover my face. But because of long time like 7 hours, it seems difficult for me. In that case can I open my face only? May I open my face at lunch time in the canteen? I am taking my lunch with girls only.

Q: Can a woman go to Pakistan to do Islamic studies? Father wants to go with her and leave her alone and come back.

Q: Coeducation is allowed in Islam? There is no good university where there is no coeducation and it is also the demand of nowadays to study in high level institutions. So what should we do now?
