Jewellery and Rings

Q: Is it permissible for a male to wear a silver ring that weighs more than one mithqaal?

Q: We teaching revert ladies. Coming to the type of rings permissible to wear, we explained metal jewellery are not permissible because the idol worshippers used to use it. Now some questions arose. Please give us some clear and simple answer to their understanding Insha Allah.

1) Why is it not permissible to wear imitation rings (i.e the event behind it if there is) and do the idol worshippers used to have a certain tradition behind it or is it just that they used to use it?

2) Why is it then permissible to wear imitation jewellery (besides rings)?

3) Some jewellery are made of animal skin especially (south african) traditional jewellery. Is it allowed to wear such? Even in namaaz?

Q: Is it permisable for a Muslim woman to wear imitation rings?

Q: Is it Sunnah for women that when they wear their rings, they should wear it with the front facing inwards (i.e. the stone of the ring facing inwards) as men are supposed to wear their rings?

Q: I want to know if it is compulsory for Muslim girls/women to wear bangles. I have relatives who say that if a girl/woman does not wear bangles, then even water from her hand is makruh. I have read many articles on this issue but I want a reference either from the Qur'an or Hadith so that I can be clear.

1. I have heard that men should wear their ring on the baby finger. Does this law also apply to women, or are women allowed to wear it on other fingers as well?

2. Is it permissible for women to wear more than one ring?

Q: Is it important in Islam for a woman to pierce her nose after nikaah?

Q: In Shari'ah, is there any specific finger for a female to wear a ring?

Q: I wanted to ask about stones in Islam like aqeeq. Can I wear it because some people say about stones that they suit some people only?

Q: In Shariah, is there any specific finger for a male to wear his silver ring?
