Hadith regarding the Muslim Ummah

Q: Please enlighten me with the references of this hadith: Conjoined Hadiths from Musnad Ahmad: Jaabir (radhi-yallaahu 'anhu) narrated that Allaah's Messenger (sal-Allaahu`alayhe wa sallam) said: "Al Muslimoon Ummatun Wahida, Wa Biladahum Wahida, Wa Harbahum Wahida, Wa Salmahum Wahida". Is this a Hadith at all?

Hadith regarding securing a house in Jannah

Q: Is the following hadith authentic and in the proper wording ?

Umm Habibah bint Abu Sufyan reports that the Messenger of Allah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) said: "Whoever prays twelve rak'at during the day and night will have a house built for him in paradise: four rak'at before zuhr and two after it, two rak'at after maghrib, two rak'at after 'isha, and two rak'at before fajr." (Tirmidhi, who graded it as Hasan sahih).

Can you send me any more hadith that says how to get a house in jannah?

Hadith regarding the prohibition of a man touching a non-mahram's hand

Q: Could you please provide the Hadith, with Rawi etc. concerning the strict prohibition of a man touching a woman's hand, since I had heard that "A man's shoulder touching that of a woman is worse than touching a swine . . ."

The Hadith is "It is better that a steel nail be impaled on one's head than that he touches the palm of a woman . . ."  (Au kama Qaala) or words to the effect.

My friend who works in a mixed workplace told me that women shoot out their hands for a handshake . . . once he dropped his keys and stooped to pick it up, and then arose to find the confounded hand still there. He avoided again by saying he's got to go to the loo.

[Later I advised that to say straightaway, "Being a Muslim I cannot touch your hand nor look at you." which might offend the greeter, but will please Allah.] Please guide. Allah has praised and described the Ulama, "Innamaa yakhshallaha min Ibaadihil Ulamaa." (Is this correct?)

Tibbe Nabawi - Eating Bananas

Q: I can not find that hadith which I read when I was young. I remember that I had read in Tibbe Nabawi that Banana is gold if it is taken morning time, silver zuhar time and poison if it is taken in the night. I am trying to find that hadith. I was a health teacher, something like that I can say about fruits too. Would you like to comment on that? If not possible for you then please refer me to someone else. What are the rulings to take fruits in Islam? I am ready to throw out everything from mind about fruits if there are clear injunctions in Islam. I do not want any kind of bidat in my life or anything which is not according to the sunnat. Your advice is highly appreciated.

Various laws and aspects proven from the Hadith

  1. “Fasting is not merely abstention from eating and drinking; but also from vain speech and foul language.” (Sahih  Bukhari)
  2. ‘Allah has a right over you; your body has a right over you.”
  3. “I have only been sent for the perfection of character”
  4. Told by Sahaba  “Rasulullah Sullullahi Alaihi Wasullum was the most generous of people, but he would be his most generous during Ramadhan”  Is this true and if possible, who said it.
  5. Abu Huraira (Radhiyallhu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah Sullullahi Alaihi Wasullum said that “The wage for every man’s deeds is increased (at least) 10 times; but for fasting; Allah’s declaration is ; Fasting is an exception to this rule.  Fasting is only for Me and I will apportion its reward.  It is for Me and My creature gives up food and desires.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

Forty Duroods

Q: Over Radio Islam or Chanel Islam or any gathering we frequently hear the recitation of 40 Duroods.  I have only come across the mention and benefits of reading 100 or 1000 Durood.  Where is it written in the hadith kitaabs or made mention specifically of 40 Duroods and what are the benefits of reading specifically 40 Durood?
