Q: Please advise:
1. Why had Al-Andalus, and later, Al-Maghrib, cut off their relationship with the Abbasid Khilaafat of Baghdad in order to become independent states?
2. Was their above action correct according to the Sharia?
Q: Is Zul Qarnain a male or female?
Q: My question is pertaining to Ibnu taymiyyah. He is someone that deemed the Mongol invaders of the Muslim world to be non Muslim as they didn't rule according to the Law of Allah, he didn't say the same though about his own rulers even though they were not exactly entirely applying sharia and he was loyal to them and never instructed jihad against them. Did he do so on the grounds he thought it is wrong to fight the ruler or did he not deem his rulers as non Muslim in the same way he did the Mongols and if so why didn't he deem his own Mamluk rulers also non Muslim for not ruling by the Law of Allah?
Q: I have heard that in your kitaab on the topic of Karbala and Yazeed, the respected author quotes from the book al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah. Such narrations are quoted which ibn-Katheer Rahmatullahi alaihi at the end of the discussion himself says that these narrations are fabricated. Is this true? I sincerely hope that Mufti Saheb will clarify this matter for me and many others who have heard this.
Q: Who is Tippu sultaan in Islam? What is his story? Why aalims call him Tippu sultaan (rahimahullah)?
Q: Could you explain to me the correct opinion regarding Yazeed bin Mu'aawiyah? I read the book "Revealing the True Facts of Yazeed ~ The Incident of KARBALA and the Events that Followed". I found it to be very beneficial, however I have heard that there is a weak narrator by the name of Abu Mikhnaf, who appears in some of the reports quoted in the book. Is this correct?
Q: Mufti Saheb, I have heard that some of the narrations in the book "Revealing the True Facts of Yazeed ~ The Incident of KARBALA and the Events that Followed" are quoted through a weak, shia narrator, by the name of Abu Mikhnaf. Is this correct? If it is, then can we quote from such narrators?
Q: I'm looking for reliable information regarding the life of Taariq bin Ziyaad (Rahimahullah). Basic info like: Birth, Qualities, Achievements and Death.
Q: My question is, is there any story in the history of Islam about laila bint ajmaa that she swore that if her slave don't divorce his wife then she will be yahoodi or esayi and her wealth will be free for Allah and all her slaves will be free. After this she went to Umme Aaisha and asked her about this. Aaisha (Radiyallahu Anha) replied that do kaffara of yamin and then she went to Ibn Umar and he also reprimanded her that fear Allah and do kaffara of yamin. Is this story valid or saheeh or hassan or daeef?
