Masnoon Duas

Q: Please advise the best dua for long life. 

Also, will my wife be with me in jannat if we both are granted this joy by Allah Ta'ala?

Q: In a bathroom that consists of a shower and sink as well as a toilet, which area will be regarded as a toilet in shariah? 

Would it be permissible to take the name of Allah in the sink area and at what point should one enter with the left foot?

Q: If a dua recommended in the Hadith for a particular purpose is said in a congregational form (نا), should the individual reciting it change it and say it in individual form (ني)?

Q: Do I have to say duas before everything such as before sleeping, before shower, before eating & after eating, before going out & before entering the house, before journey by bus, plane, train, every kind of transportation, before going to the washroom, before wearing clothes, before intercourse, before wedding etc.? 

Will my Salaah not be accepted if I don't do this? 

Q: What should be recited when yawning? Ta’awuz or lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata ʾillā bi-llāhi l-ʿaliyyi l-ʿaẓīm?

Q: What are the duas that should be read when:

(a) Getting up from sleep.

(b) Entering the toilet and coming out from the toilet.

And should the duas be read audibly to one self or simply read silently in the mind?

Q: Can you please provide guidance on the benefits of reciting ayat-ul-kursi? I have been told:

1. Recite ayat-ul-kursi before going to bed.

2. Recite ayat-ul-kursi after making wudhu.

3. Recite ayat-ul-kursi after reciting your fardh salaat.

Please provide insight into the benefits of reciting ayat-ul-kursi for the above 3 occasions and also if there are any other occasions when you should recite ayat-ul-kursi.

Q: Can duaas be recited with tajweed?

Q: A person is climbing/descending.

1. Does he have to recite Allahu akbar/Subhanallah the entire time that he is climbing/descending, or only thrice?

2. He is climbing/descending when the adhaan starts. Should he answer the adhaan or recite Allahu akbar/Subhanallah?

Q: We should all read duas and azkar. But I would like to share something about one dua (أعوذ بكلمات الله).

Our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) didn't speak of his own accord and desire, all that he said emanated from Allah Ta'ala. It is mentioned in Surah Al Najm verses 1 to 4 *By the star when it descends Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred, nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed.*

Allah Ta'ala taught us an amazing dua such as (أعوذ بالله... قل أعوذ برب الفلق... قل أعوذ برب الناس) 

أعوذ means (I seek refuge) ب (with) الله (Allah) and this dua أعوذ بكلمات الله means أعوذ (I seek refuge) ب (with) كلمات الله (word of Allah).

It is clearly shown that while reciting أعوذ بالله, it's meaning is concering Allah Ta'ala, we are taking refuge with Allah alone. But while we recite this dua (أعوذ بكلمات الله) it means that we are not taking refuge with Allah but with the Kalimatillah.

What is کلمات الله? Allah Ta'ala answered this question in the Quran. The answer is in Surah Al Nisaa verse 171, Allah Ta'ala says ( اِنَّمَا الۡمَسِیۡحُ عِیۡسَی ابۡنُ مَرۡیَمَ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰهِ وَکَلِمَتُه)

Translation: The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His kalimah "word".

It is clearly mentioned in this ayat that Isa (alaihis salaam) was "Word of Allah". Word (كلمه) actually means order. Isa (alaihis salaam) was order the of Allah. Allah says "Be" and he "was". In Surah Al Kahf verse 109 and Surah Al Luqman verse 27, Allah Ta'ala called كلمات (words of Allah) each and every thing which He created. It means that each and every thing which is created by God is the Order or Word of God.

So how can our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) order us to recite this dua by which we are not taking refuge with Allah but with the (كلمات الله) word of Allah?
