Khatams and niaz
Q: My question is regarding khatams and niaz etc in the name of the Prophet Salallahu-Alaihi-Wasalam and saints like Hazrath Ghous Paak etc - Is this practise Islamically correct or is it considered bidaah?

Q: Are we allowed to have 40 day khatams for marhooms?
Q: What is the status of Aayatul Kareema Khatams? The Aayatul Kareema zikr is recited many thousands of times at these khatams. Sometimes a hall is hired for these khatams and invitations are sent out encouraging women to attend. I have faith in zikr, but are these khatams established from the Sunnah?
Q: Can we eat food from any khatams or any other innovated practices and if anyone brings it to our home, should we throw it?
Q: Can Mufti Saheb please advise if it is permissible to gather in the Madrasah next to the mosque to read Surah Yaseen for a foreign national who's father has passed on. Is it permissible to gather to read the Qur'an and send esaal-e-thawaab or is it bidah?
