Q: My father has recently been murdered unjustly and brutally due to vengence or money (cause not clear as yet). He raised 4 daughters and was a retired army officer. Is he shaheed?

Q: I live in a Muslim Village of about 200 households. We have 6 (six) mosques in our locality and all of them uses loudspeakers for Azan. I’ve read that we must answer the call to prayer. Sometimes the Azans from all the mosques don’t overlap and I’ve been left wondering if answering one is enough or do I have to answer all of them. Please clarify. Also on one site I read that using loudspeakers for Azan is an act of Bida’at. Is it so?

Q: My father owed my grandfather R40 000. Its been few years since my grandfather passed away. My father is now able to pay of the debts which will go to the heirs (none of whom have passed away) as inheritance, who are: my grandmother, my father's 3 sisters and my father himself. I would like this R40000 to be divided amongst the heirs when my father wishes to pay back the debt?

Q: I married my husband and he has a son from his previous marriage. His son's biological mother is still alive, and when he was 8 years old, his father took him from his mother and since then he never saw his mother. With years we had two children on our own and my stepson is living with us.

My husband is away and I do most of the expenses, taking care of the three children. My husband sends me very little because his son is staying with me. I have to say, things are not very good between me and my stepson. And my husband always takes his side. I feel he doesn't give me the dignity as a wife and my marriage is falling apart, because of this I try my best to keep a good relationship with my stepson, but I can't love him as I love my own children and I really feel bad for him. And on good terms with my husband because we have 2 children. But I'm not happy.

My question is, can my stepson see his mom because his father has never allow him to do so? And what are my duties to him and my husband. All the responsibility is on my shoulder. And sometimes I want to divorce. Can I ask my stepson to leave. Please help me be because I want my stepson to be happy as well.

1. If you declare a musalla as a Masjid and later on want to extend, will it be valid to demolish the entire musallah and rebuild?

2. If valid, does the new Masjid have to be on the exact spot? Please note land has not yet been rezoned as a religious site

Q: I read somewhere that the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) threatened his wives to divorce and Hazrat Aisha (RA) is threatened many times with divorce in Quran. By threaten, I mean in a very severe manner. Is this true? Or is it a malicious allegation by Shia?

Q: My question is concerning justice for the wronged. Why are people who have wronged me doing very well while I am struggling to strive? What happened to karma of what goes around come around? What is the Islamic ruling on karma?
