Imaam reciting Surah Yaseen for the congregation on Shab-e-Baraat
Q: During Shab-e-Baraat day after maghrib Namaz people voluntarily without any special prior arrangements having been made do nafl Ibadat in the form of nafl namaaz and recitation of Quran in the form of Surah Yaseen. In such gatherings there happens to be some people who cannot read Quran on their own but they come to the with the desire and expectation to hear the Quran in the form of Surah Yaseen being recited by someone. In order to meet this desire of these people the Imam of the mosque recited the Surah in an audible tone to serve the purpose of these people. Neither the nafl namaaz is performed in Jamaat nor the recitation of Yaseen is recited in unison. So is there any thing wrong in this? Of course the Imam after the Fard Maqrib namaaz does remind the mussalees that it is Shab-e- Baraat night and they should busy themselves with more Ibadat in that night.
