Taking sublingual tablets to quit drugs

Q: I would like to ask a question regarding Fasting (Sawm) and taking a sublingual tablets to quit drugs. The question is as follows:

May I fast if I take a sublingual tablet in the morning after suhur? The sublingual tablets name is Subutex 2mg it reduces cravings for opium
users. I would really like to fast. I would just like to know if is permissible for me for I only need to take this tablet for 7 consecutive days.

Preventing one's son from attending Taraweeh Salaah

Q: A father does not take his son for Taraweeh Salaah despite the son requesting for it. The father lacks a valid excuse. The son is of baligh age. It would anger the father if the son makes arrangements with someone else in order to take him - even if it is the mother to take him.

  1. Will the son be sinful in not performing Taraweeh Salaah in light of the above?
  2. Will the son receive any thawaab despite?

Zakaat on dollars

Q: In the country I stay, there is a big difference in the black dollar and official dollar rate. The dollar in this country is not the local currency. When I change dollars, I change on the black market because of the rate being higher. I normally take out my zakaat in the local currency. On the dollars that I have, should I take out my zakaat on the black market rate or on the official rate?

Zakaat on gold and silver jewellry

Q: One of my mother's sister lives in UK. She gave a gold necklace, a pair of ear rings, finger ring and a pair of bangles to my daughter (who also stays there after marriage) to give it to me so that I can use it in my daughter's marriage. My daughter has given it to me, but I don't want to keep such a precious gift.

  1. What can I do?
  2. Shall I need to take out zakaat for that?

Performing Hajj with someone else's money

Q:

  1. I am adopted. Can I do hajj from my mother's money if its halaal? Will I be rewarded it's blessing and status, will my sins be wiped out? If I do it for the sake and will of Allah,  will the obligation of fard be full filled?
  2. What if the money is interest based from a bank, will the fard obligation, rewards, blessings will be given fullfilled to the person doing hajj?
  3. What if the money is of my worldly mother's brother's money (Halaal earned), can we do hajj from the money or my mother has to ask permission from her brother first?
  4. Since I am adopted, my mother doing hajj alongside me, will her fard obligation be fullfilled? Will her blessings be given to her, wiping all the sins done in the past? Will it affect my hajj status and blessing?

Hadith Question

Q: Is the following Hadith  authentic or fabricated? Please provide reply with reference.

Once Moosa (AS) asked Allah Ta'ala:

O Allah! You have granted me the honour and privilege of talking to you directly, Have you given this privilege to any other person?

Allah Ta'ala replied, O!! Moosa during the last period I am going to send an Ummat, who will be the Ummat of Mohammed (SAW) with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with eyes sunken deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the pangs of hunger.
They will call out to me (in dua) they will be much much closer to me than you O Moosa! while you speak to me there are 70000 veils etween you and me but at the time of iftaar there will not be a single veil between me and the fasting Ummati of Mohammed (SAW). O! Moosa I have taken upon myself the responsibility that at the time of iftaar I will never refuse the dua of a fasting person!
