Q: The Sunnah of waleemah takes place through the husband feeding, after the nikaah is consummated.

In all the nikaahs of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), the waleemah was always carried out by Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). None of the wives of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) nor their families contributed towards the waleemah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) at the time of their nikaah.

Similarly, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) encouraged the men of Sahaabah to carry out the Sunnah of waleemah at the time of their nikaah. Hence, we understand that the Sunnah practice of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) in regard to waleemah is for the husband (boy’s party) to host the entire waleemah.

There is no mention made in the Hadith of a joint waleemah being found in the nikaahs of the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) and Taabi’een (Rahimahumullah). Hence, the practice of a joint waleemah is against the Mubaarak Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and should therefore be omitted.

Maaf I wanted to ask if to do this to prevent/avoid the functions of the girls side to feed... it won't be possible then too?

Also it's so so common for the girls side to feed (what is called ths reception) but it's not part of sunnah. But if you feed before the nikaah like a tea, or something like that? Because the girls side don't have an option to call so many people in the walima.

Actually it just crossed my mind and I thought I'll ask. Not questioning or getting a leeway. It's just abit difficult especially now when these things have become so common and how to go about dealing with it.

Q: Some of the Ulama from Deoband consider animated pictures as permissible and other Ulama are totally opposite to that extent that they declared it haraam. I have heard that "Ulama ka ikhtalif rehmat hai".

Will I be sinful if I follow the Ulama who regard animated pictures as permissible?

Q: What is the Islamic viewpoint of a Muslim student wearing a tie if it's part of the school uniform policy? Should the parents make an issue and say it's against our religion or is it not so serious?

Q: In one of your fatwa you mentioned a hadith... It is reported in the Ahaadith that a woman whose hair is not covered, the malaaikah do not come close to her.

I want a reference for this hadith. I can't find one.

Q: If the husband is poor and the wife is rich, the wife gets the nafaqa of average quality. Does this means it will be greater than that of what the husband's family is used togetting and less than that of the wife's family?

The problem is that if the husband is poor, how can he provide with greater than what his family is used to?

Q: Is it permissible to wear a non-Muslim clothing brand called “fear of god” where they make shirts that says fear of god on them?

Q: We went for umrah in Ramadhaan. We left a few days after Ramadhaan started.

South Africa fasted 30 days. Saudi also fasted 30 days. But they started Ramadhaan and finished one day earlier.

Because we were in Saudi for Eid, we only fasted 29 days in total actually.

So, do we need to keep qaza of one fast, because both countries had full 30 days but due to spending Eid in Saudi we only fasted 29?

Q: Is funeral cover permissible in Islam?

Q: My zakaat date is on the first of Ramadhaan. At which time will I have to take an account to work out my zakaat, as during the day, I will also be doing trade. Hence, if I buy and sell during the day, will I include the wealth I acquire on that day in my zakaat calculation? Similarly, if I incur debts during the day, will I deduct the debts from my zakaat calculation?
