The mother of a zakaatable family inheriting a large some of money

Q: A family was eligible for zakaat. The mother in this family just inherited a fairly large sum of money from a deceased relative. However, she says that she wants to keep this sum of money for herself and does not want to spend it on her family. Are the father and the children in this family still eligible to receive zakaat?

Women going to halls

Q: I have been invited to a “Walima” of a close family relative. The event will be in a hall with a screen to separate men and women. The bride will be on a stage and the bridegroom will (after the nikaah) change into a suit and go to the bride to put the ring on her finger and exchange jewellery. There will also be a lot of non-Muslims attending as well and I expect that women will be inappropriately dressed. It is claimed that there will be no photographs but I suspect that this will be difficult to enforce and control. My son has been requested to recite Qur'an at this function. My questions are:

1. Is it permissible to attend such a gathering?

2. Is it permissible for my son to recite Qur'an here?

My obvious concern is about breaking family ties should I not attend. Please advise.

Imaam being appointed as the wakeel of the girl

Q: Due to certain circumstances my daughter and I have had little contact. In December she told me she want to get married and that she would like if I will be her wakheel to give her off on her wedding day. They were going to come see me to finalise everything. I was not contacted again till a few days before the wedding by her mother asking if I was still going to give her off. I responded by saying nobody asked me for her to get married. The mother answered that I never had time for the daughter and that I don't have any rights over the daughter. I then said that she must then go to her Imaam and make him her wakheel. They then got married. Is this the correct way? Is her marriage halaal?

Share of profit fixed as percentage of capital

Q:

1. I got an offer from somebody that if I invest some money with him, for example 100 USD then he will give me back 130USD after one month without any work. Is it halaal?

2. Somebody told me if I invest 100 USD in his website and work daily for it (I think work will be related to share his company, website or post something about his business on social media) then he will give me 130USD back after the month. Is it halaal?

3. Somebody told me if I invest 100 USD in his Business/Website and daily work for it (work is related to his advertisement) then he will give me back 200 USD means double after the month. If I do not work for them then they will give me only 20% earnings on my investment on monthly basis. Is it halaal?

4. Somebody told me if I invest 100 USD with him whether I work he will give me 30% on my investment and if I do not work then he will also pay me 30% on my investment. Is it halaal?

5. Somebody told me if I invest 100 USD with him and daily work for it (work is related to his advertisement) then he will give me 30% profit on it and if I do not work then he will not give me any profit means my earnings/profit depends on my daily work. Is it halaal?

6. Somebody told me if I invest 100 USD with him then he will give me 130% on end of month means 130 USD. There is no work for me. Now here is the question they said either they earn 1000 USD or 1 Lac USD they will give me fixed 130% and something occurs bad and if they collapse their business/website then they will give me real seed money/investment without any profit. Is it halaal?

7. If I buy 50 USD AdPack from any Website/Company and it makes 55 USD and the work is watching of 10 Ads Daily then after making of 55 USD the adpack expires (ads are related to different websites, companies, hotels etc, means related to every aspect of life). Is it halaal?

Gender change

Q: I want to clarify regarding sex change to female as I'm a non-muslim. I love a guy too much more than my life. For him I can do anything. Even I can sacrifice my whole life as well. He also likes me very much for the same, so I at last decided there is only one way. That is to change to female then become Muslim and marry him, settle my life as a happily living couple forever. So please I'm seeking your advice here. First of all, I'll change my sex than later I'll become a Muslim. Next I'll marry him and settle down to a happy life as we both understand each other very much. So you are the only hope for us, because we can do this in a direct way, but we would like to seek your advice on this.

Dry najaasat

Q: If there is dry najasat-e-ghalizah on a wall, will wiping it down once suffice? Also if clean dry clothes were placed on something that had the dry najasat-e-ghalizah on it, will they become napaak?
