Jamaat Salaah and Imaamat

Foregoing one's place in the first saff for a senior

Q: It has been observed in madaaris, khanqaas, marakis and masaajid in general that students, mureeds, mamoors and general musallies at the time of iqaamat forego their place of the front saff by stepping backward into the second saff to give preference to the ustaad, shaikh, ameer or another Muslim in general, to take their place in the front saff. At times these individuals are in the saff well before hand. On the other hand the one given preference comes much later or even a short while before salaah. Can Mufti Sahib please explain if it is correct to do this? Can one forgo one's reward for another? Please shed any other information you have on this subject.

Performing salaah in the musjid before going to the taraaweeh venues

Q: In the month of Ramadhaan, there are many jamaats for Taraaweeh salaah in our area. Taraaweeh salaah is performed in homes, garages, factories, etc.

Certain people do not perform the Esha salaah in the musjid, but rather perform it at the venue where they perform the taraaweeh salaah. As soon as the time of Esha enters, they perform their Esha salaah and then commence their Taraaweeh salaah. In our area, the musjid is close to the venues of these taraaweeh jamaats.

Is it correct for the people to perform their Esha salaah in the taraaweeh venues or should they perform their Esha Salaah in the Musjid and thereafter proceed to their taraaweeh venues?

Ending one's Salaah before the imaam

Q: When I was in my prayer (I was waiting for the Imaam to end the prayer with salaam) in congregation,

1. I needed to use the washroom urgently. In that condition, is it permissible to end the prayer by myself and go to the washroom, or is it not permissible?

2. My stomach was well. If my stomach had been upset, would it be permissible to end salaah before the Imaam (the same act which is asked in Question 1)?
