The book Shamsul maarif
Q: I saw a video on youtube when searching for info about the book ''shams ul maarif''. I think the person in the video claims that he is moving bottles with the help of the instructions from the book of shams ul maarif with a jinn? What do the ulama say about this book? I saw that there is a fatwa of Shaykh Ibn Jibrin about this book.

As far as youTube is concerned, since it contains pictures of animate objects it is impermissible for one to view them.
Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:
إن أشد الناس عذابا عند الله يوم القيامة المصورون (صحيح البخاري 2/880 ، صحيح لمسلم 2/201)
Those involved in picture-making will be subjected to the worst forms of punishment on the day of Qiyaamat. (Bukhari 2/880, Muslim 2/201)
