Mistakenly dropping the Quraan on the floor

Q:

1. If someone drops the Quraan on the floor unintentionally, should he be obliged to give kaffarah for his act?

2. What should such person do if he mistakenly drops the Quraan on the floor?

A: He should make istighfaar and in future be more careful.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
