Cutting one's own hair after completing umrah

Q: We went for umrah and after completing sa'ee, I used my trimmer machine to remove my hair with the help of one guy as I was tired. Can we cut/shave our hair at safa/marwa as we see many people doing it?

If not, am I sinful. That was first and last time I did it. Every other time I used to go to the barber shop.

A: After completing all the rituals of umrah, the only thing that was left for you to do was to cut or trim your hair. Hence, it was permissible for you to cut your own hair or to get someone who is out of ihraam to assist you. However, after cutting the hair, it is important to ensure that no strands of hair fall on the ground as people perform salaah in this area.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
