Reading the book As-Shifa at the time of an adversity
Q: I read somewhere that during the time of adversity or during a pandemic, one should make taleem of Kitaabush Shifa of Qaadhi Iyaadh (rahimahullah). I wanted to know the benefit of reading the kitaab As-Shifa and wanted to know what we should do during this pandemic.
A: This is not something proven from the Quraan or Hadith. However, it is something based upon the experience of the pious. This kitaab contains incidents regarding the mubaarak life of Hazrat Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and the great virtues of sending durood upon him. Hence, it is witnessed that through reading this kitaab as well as other similar kitaabs of the same subject, calamities are removed and good conditions come about in the land.
